Place the key inside your Safe Pocket before starting the raid. This simple step protects it from being lost if your character is eliminated. If the key stays in your regular inventory and you die, you may need to search for another one through random drops, which can turn a straightforward quest into a much longer process.

Your equipment should also be suited for a potentially dangerous trip. Bring enough healing supplies and ammunition to handle hostile machines, but avoid carrying unnecessary valuables that you would not want to lose.

Locate the Control Tower

After spawning into Spaceport, travel toward the central portion of the map. Your destination is Control Tower A6, a tall building that stands out from many of the surrounding structures.

Do not feel pressured to sprint directly toward the tower. Spaceport can be dangerous, and rushing through open areas may expose you to ARC enemies or other Raiders. Move between cover when possible and pay attention to nearby sounds before entering the area around the tower.

Once you reach the base of Control Tower A6, find the main entrance. Before using your key, inspect the doors carefully. If another player has already entered the building, the entrance may still be open. In that situation, you can simply walk inside without spending your key.

Enter and Reach the Upper Floor

If the doors are locked, use the Spaceport Control Tower Key to gain access. Once inside the building, look for the zipline that leads toward the upper levels.

Using the zipline allows you to quickly climb through the tower. However, reaching the top does not mean the dangerous part is over. Hostile bots may be waiting in the upper area, so avoid running straight toward the quest terminal without checking your surroundings.

Clear nearby enemies first if the situation allows. Removing immediate threats gives you more room to move and makes it easier to complete the interaction without being interrupted.

Connect at the Terminal

When the upper floor is secure, look for the small staircase in the area. Walk up the stairs and turn left. The computer terminal required for Lost in Transmission will be located there.

Interact with the terminal to establish the connection. Once the interaction is completed, the main quest objective is registered as finished.

This is an important detail because extraction is not necessary for quest credit. You can technically leave the raid at any point after activating the terminal and still receive completion for the objective.

The major reward from Lost in Transmission is the Snap Hook, a grappling-hook-style gadget that expands your movement options. It allows you to reach higher positions and makes navigating certain areas much more flexible.

The gadget can become particularly useful when climbing around structures, reaching elevated locations, repositioning during encounters, or finding alternative routes through the environment. Learning when to use it can make future raids smoother and give you more freedom when exploring difficult areas.
