How to Kill the Matriarch of ARC Raiders
It is a very difficult boss battle to take on Matriarch. You'll have a hard time if you don’t know what to do. It's difficult because the Matriarch summons ARCs including boss ARCs. This also attracts the attention of everyone on the map. It's also worth mentioning that the Matriarch herself is anything but timid. Let's talk about a couple things before we show you how to kill Matriarch.
The Matriarch appears on three maps. However, two of those are best suited for fighting. This is a dangerous threat so you should find a good spot with cover. These are the maps.
Dam Battlegrounds - By far the most effective place to kill Matriarch. It is spawned on The Breach to the south of Power Generation Complex. It wanders around the open space, connecting Power Generation Complex and the Control Tower. Many players believe that the Pipeline Tower offers the best opportunity to battle the Matriarch. Most players occupy either the top of the tower's roof or a catwalk directly below. The strategy for killing it will be discussed further down.
Spaceport: This is another excellent locati0n to kill Matriarch. It is located in the middle of map, near the Launch Towers. It's possible to reach the Towers from the top and fire it. It's unlikely that you will be followed by other players. Be sure to grab some explosives. There will be a lot of people at the bottom, so it's hard to get out. Grab Ziplines for a safer escape.
Blue Gate is the most likely locati0n where you will have to battle the boss. It is characterized by a large amount of open space and a small area covered. Surprisingly, there are many raiders who agree to work together on this map. On one occasion, about 20 raiders joined forces to take on the beast.
Matriarch will usually alternate between these two maps. The Matriarch will attack you immediately, unlike the Queen. Its rockets are extremely fast.
Matriarch Abilities
Matriarch will kill you with many methods. It features three missile attacks as well as a shield and a summoning mechanic. We'll break them down briefly so you can know what you're up against:
Gas Missiles The Matriarch will launch multiple rockets at your locati0n. This releases a cloud of gas. The gas cloud doesn't harm your HP, but does drain your stamina. If you are out in the open, and the rockets follow the Gas missiles, then you will die.
Flashbang missiles: Matriarch launches rockets with an extremely large impact radius. Everyone will temporarily become blinded. It is very annoying when you are aware that there are other hostile raiders near.
Self-homing missiles: These rockets can reach you in a blink of an eye. You can be taken down by two missiles even with medium shields. The AoE is also present, so you cannot hide behind every cover.
Impenetrable Barrier: Matriarch will release a shield which is impenetrable for the duration. No known way to accelerate its drop. During the time it is shielded, it will continue to attack. When this happens, you should focus on other ARCs (or Raiders) or ARCs.
The biggest threat is ARC summon. It can summon bosses on the ground, which isn't a huge deal in the right position. The Rocketeer and Bombardier summons are the most dangerous. You should focus your attention on them if the Matriarch summons these people. They won't let anyone live if you don't.
Matriarch has no more abilities. Although it may not appear to be much, the Matriarch's defense is so strong that killing her becomes a pain. With a party it is much easier. Next, we'll discuss ways to simplify things even more.
Matriarch Weak Points
Matriarch shares the same weaknesses as Queen. Some are better at focusing than others, but it's best to just use a Hullcracker. The weak spots of Matriarch:
Legs: As with most big ARCs. If you can break the leg armour, it will make the ARC more mobile. This isn't ideal for Matriarch because it doesn’t move that much. By doing this, you'll make it difficult to attack other weak spots.
Frontal Armor Matriarch has two plates on its front. Right underneath its horn it looks like two noses or eyes. If you break the cores, they will have a core looking thing behind them. You can take it out much quicker by shooting it.
Head Core: Assume a position higher than Matriarch, and distract the rest of your team. You will be able to target the most vulnerable part. A circular hole is located in its head. This is covered by an armor layer. You can kill the enemy faster by destroying it. It's not a good idea to separate your party. Not the best idea, considering how many raiders there are.
That's all there is to the Matriarchs weak points. It may not have as much health, but it's much more dangerous. The weak points of the ARC aren't nearly as important as they would be with other ARCs. Just blast it using Hullcracker, Jupiter or both.
Matriarch Rewards
Matriarch contains a large amount of valuable and expensive loot. You can farm this loot from other ARCs and even locations. Matriarch Reactors are worth farming for Matriarch rewards. Legendary materials are required to create Aphelion - a new energy weapon. This rifle is not yet found. Many players think the blueprint for Aphelion may be hidden on Stella Montis. You can find out more about this map in our ARC Raiders Stella Montis guide.

Matriarch Tips & Tricks
Here are a few tips on how to implement the strategy. It is important to prepare thoroughly before you take on the Matriarch. It can be very helpful to have even the smallest advantage. Let's look at the Matriarch battle tips & tricks.
Obi Wan said: "I'm on the higher ground. I have it over Anakin." It is much easier for you to defeat Matriarch when you are looking down. Try to always take the highest position, regardless of where you are on the map.
Consider all possible flanks: A place with many places where your enemies can enter is not a good place. Look for places that are tight and easy to defend.
Have an Escape Route. Killing a matriarch only represents half the battle. The second part involves getting away with the loot. You should consider where you can camp. Sometimes the quickest route isn't the best. You should be aware of campers in raider-hatch escapes.
You should always have a player to take care of ARCs. Two players in a trio should focus on the matriarch. The third person should be watching your flanks and back.
Test Runs: Grab a free loadout to observe the players. Sometimes players will be so preoccupied fighting that you can even loot the Matriarch.
Hullcracker & Jupiter need some practice. Hullcracker fires in a curved pattern, and Jupiter charges to make a shot. Target range practice is a must before the raid.
The advice is over. We'll add one last suggestion: fight Matriarch in maps you are familiarized with. You should not enter a raid if you are unfamiliar with the player spawns and hot zones. A good idea of what you can expect will reduce stress.
