The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is the national standards authority of India, responsible for ensuring product quality, safety, and reliability. Any foreign manufacturer who wants to sell regulated products in the Indian market must comply with BIS requirements. For this purpose, BIS has introduced a dedicated certification route called BIS FMCS.
BIS FMCS, also known as the Foreign Manufacturers Certification Scheme (FMCS), allows overseas manufacturers to obtain a BIS License and legally export their products to India.
